Woke up a two days ago to find a text from my bank indicating a likely fraudulent transaction from something called Play-Asia.com based in Hong Kong. I've never done business with this company and have never heard of it.

I immediately filed a claim with my bank. Transaction took place while I was asleep at 4am in the USA. It's clear to me that somehow I was hacked and my debit card information was stolen. I can think of a few cases in the last few weeks where I've used my debit card online but am not in a position to make large purchases right now and they were all local to the USA and authorized.

What makes me the most irritated is that the bank wants to put the liability on ME. If they simply decide it's not fraud that's it, I'm out the money. I had my debit card immediately cancelled and the bank gave a 'temporary credit' while they investigate.

I won't be so foolish in the future. I'll use a low balance credit card in the future for online purchases.

Reason of review: Debit card FRAUD.

Monetary Loss: $377.

Preferred solution: Full refund.
